This private golf course for the Chairman of the Citic Corporation is 27 holes with nine holes contained entirely within walls built in the scale and style of those surrounding the Forbidden City. Within the walls is a centrally located lake and island which houses the villas of the owner and his quests. The landscape here has the look and feel of a manicured garden, in contrast to the 18 holes outside the walls which are based on a deciduous and evergreen theme.

Wrapping around three sides of the rectangular wall is 18 holes with 9 holes of predominantly native Pines and another 9 of predominantly native deciduous trees such as Willow, Paulownia and Koelreuteria. Numerous small lakes planted with wetland vegetation contribute to the courses water quality and cycling.

Darren designed and supervised the landscape installation to completion. The course layout was designed by Jim Wilcher of Golf by Design.
