33 Parallel is a landscape and urban design studio practice based in Sydney with a portfolio ranging from private gardens to streetscapes, campuses, parks, walking tracks, bushland and urban and transport infrastructure.

Working with a network of talented designers and consultants, 33 Parallel is led by Darren Mansfield, one of Australia’s most experienced landscape architects and environmental practitioners. He has directed the planning and design of significant public and private landscapes locally, nationally and internationally and brings a deep technical understanding, design experience and leadership to complex projects. Darren is the immediate past director of award-winning firms Context Landscape Architecture (2014-2019) and HBO+EMTB Urban and Landscape Design (2006-2014).

33 Parallel undertakes project delivery from inception and concept to final design and specification, consultant coordination, programming, material selection, production drawings, reports and construction supervision.

We approach the built landscape with a passion for fine craftsmanship, quality and durability. We use Design Thinking to transcend a project’s initial goals, to contribute enduring value to a community, and to enhance the value of our culture and environment by efficiently and effectively integrating natural and engineered systems.
