Garden at cabarita road avalon
Gardens
This waterfront residential garden has been designed to reinforce the orientation of the building to the view across Pittwater to Lion Island. Ribbons of grasses connect bandings of coastal shrubs planted perpendicular to the view axis. The extreme steepness of the garden means that it is experienced largely from the upper terraces of the house or from the water. Other than Kentia Palms, all plants have been selected from the Indigenous plant community of Pittwater.
Cantilevered ramps and landings allow access to the shoreline and have been designed to mimic the sandstone ledges of the nearby bushland.
